Now, without all that failure weighing me down, I’m ready to succeed. My weight loss goal is still the same: 125. This year, I am going to get reasonably close to that goal.
My Dad is right. I am obsessed with my weight. That’s one of the things I’m going to work on. I’m going to try to transfer that obsession to my food instead: focusing on eating healthy food and avoiding unhealthy food. Now that I know I don’t have any health problems (other than the exercise-induced “asthma” and the apparent lactose intolerance), I know it’s my eating habits that undermine my health. My weight is just an outward signal of my poor health.
The image at the top of this blog is of sunlight above the mountains in Utah. In a year, I hope to ski those mountains. I will also be job-hunting, and I don’t want to deal with the stigma of being heavy… both in job-hunting, and in the rest of my life.
I feel that if I stick to my plans, I will achieve a healthy weight and healthy eating habits. I will be strong enough to ski and to enjoy the rest of my life.
GOALS:
1. To lose 2 pounds a week
2. To stick to my Weight Watchers POINTS, faithfully logging everything I eat, and using the meal ideas when possible.
3. To exercise purposely five times a week
4. To build in another 10-15 minutes of walking a day (in January)
5. To get enough sleep. Bedtime is by 8:30pm, except for Tuesdays and Fridays.
6. To continue listening to my weight loss hypnosis “audiobook”
7. To drink only water between meals
Current exercise rotation:
Sundays: Zumba class
Mondays: Bellydance classes
Tuesdays & Thursdays: Treadmill walking/jogging with sprints
Wednesdays: Total body weight training DVD
I will continue to post my exercise and start posting my daily points.
