Haven’t weighed since my last post. Still in size 14s & 12s. I actually did a workout today! Cathe’s Gym Style Back, Shoulders, and Biceps. A good one. Tomorrow, I’ll do Gym Style Legs, then do Chest and Triceps on Thursday. DH and I are also planning to go for a run tomorrow morning. Gotta get to bed on time!

We went for a hike this weekend. Only about three miles, but I could feel the effects of the uneven terrain in my left hip flexor. Have to make sure I fit in the step workouts. Still, I’m pleasantly surprised at the amount of stamina and energy I have gained just from losing weight and eating better. I can’t wait to see what happens when I fit back in my regular workout schedule!

I have consistently maintained a weight of about 174.2 for almost two weeks now. It seems like that’s how it goes. A pound every two or three weeks. Fine with me… time will pass whether I’m losing weight or not.

I also managed to get out for a run today. Even though I haven’t run since November, I was able to run continuously to the beauty shop. I then ran-walked a little further, then went back to the beauty shop and ran home. A total of 16 minutes. I was pleased to have that level of running ability after neglecting my running all winter. Then, we walked the dogs for a while.

I’m intending to get back to running at least 3 times a week in the morning, and walking the dogs for at least 20 minutes every day. We have a back yard, so they do get chances to stretch their legs, but they sure love to walk!

I’ve switched back to weighing in pounds. It’s easier, and it’s not affecting me as much emotionally as it used to. Sometimes, I even forget to weigh every day! (As long as I keep up with SparkPeople, I seem to keep losing… slowly, but surely.)

Well, I’m not making my goal of bed by 11pm tonight, but after I post this, I’m shutting down my computer.

I did some calisthenics and some bellydancing tonight. I can’t take classes right now, partly because they’re at the same time that my son’s Boy Scout troop will be meeting. I’ll miss it. I took classes for a year. But I only have a few more years with my darling son at home, so I’m going to enjoy them. There will be plenty of time for dance classes later.

I took the dogs for a walk. They enjoyed it. It was rather cold, though. About 18 degrees F. So, it wasn’t a very long walk.

I posted about this in another thread, but yesterday, we went to Pizza Hut. I ordered the pan vegetarian with no cheese. After I was done, I had the worst taste in my mouth! So greasy and rancid! My usual fat intake is far lower than 50 grams a day. If I ever go back to Pizza Hut, I’ll try the thin and crispy. I think that has less fat. But it was nice to see how much my tastes have changed. I really do prefer fruits and veggies and low fat foods.

Now, to become addicted to exercise again. I’m working on it!

I did a workout tonight. I ended up starting it at 11:30pm, because I didn’t want to take over the system during everyone’s favorite shows. Things have been in upheaval lately, so there’s rarely a time that I am alone in the house. That makes things tough for an introvert like me. I NEED my alone time!

I did Cathe’s Low Impact Circuit. I like it. It’s not too challenging for me when I’m this out of shape, but there is some room to grow. I usually only do circuit workouts when I’m easing back into working out after a hiatus, though I think I need to make them part of my weekly rotation. I can tell I need to do some serious work on my core, though. I could only do the first two or three minutes of the core workout before stopping. I’ll get there.
